Documents Required:


For Age Under 18:

  • Provide the original National Bank Challan Receipt for Passport Fee.
  • Include the Children Registration Cert-CRC (B-Form) with 2 copies.
  • Submit photocopies of both parents' National Identity Cards (CNICs).
  • Dual-Nationals must also provide a Foreign Passport and a copy.
  • Applicant must appear in person at the Passport Office with both parents.

For Age 18 & Above:

  • Submit the Original National Bank Challan Receipt for Passport Fee.
  • Provide your Original CNIC/NICOP/Smart-Card with 2 photocopies.
  • If you have an Old Passport, include it along with a photocopy.
  • Dual-Nationals must also provide a Foreign Passport and a copy.
  • If you're a Government Servant, you'll need a NOC from your department.
  • Ensure you've correctly written your address and phone numbers on the Application Form.

Process / Steps:

  • Visit the Customer Service Counter at your Regional Passport Office.
  • Obtain the original National Bank Challan Receipt for Passport Fee.
  • Present your original NIC/NICOP/Smart Card/CRC(B-Form) for verification.
  • Your photograph will be taken, and a Token will be issued.
  • Provide your fingerprints when it's your turn.
  • The Data Entry Operator will enter your data and provide a printout.
  • Carefully review the printed form and sign below it.
  • Collect the duplicate token from the Data Entry Counter.
  • Obtain verification for Exit Control List-ECL & Black List-BL.
  • You'll need to clear an interview with an Assistant Director.
  • If you're under 18, obtain attestation from a Class-1 Govt. Officer on the printed form provided by the Data Entry Operator.
  • The Officer will then write their NIC, Contact No. and Stamp on the form.

Important Notes:

  • Children under the age of 15 are issued a 5-year passport only.
  • It's not possible to convert a 5-year passport into a 10-year one.
  • Children are issued their separate passport.
  • In case of loss or theft, submit a copy of the Police FIR.
  • If you lose your passport for the first time, you'll be charged double the fee.
  • If you lose it for the second time, you'll be charged 4 times the fee.
  • If you lose it for the third time, the case will be sent to Headquarters.
  • Executive Passport Offices are established in 13 cities, including Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Karachi, Quetta, Gujrat, Lahore, and Sahiwal.

  • Directorate General, Immigration & Passports Headquarters is located in the Mauve Area, G-8/1, Islamabad, Pakistan.
  • You can call the helpline at 0800-34477 or dial 9988 from your mobile to get all passport inquiries.
  • National/Mobile Users can call 051-111-344-777 for passport inquiries.
  • You can email dg@dgip.gov.pk for any complaints.
  • To check your passport status, send your 11-digit token number to 9988.
  • You can also get information on passport-related locations and services at the Office/NBP locations.

Tips:

  • Avoid contacting any agent outside of the Passport Office.
  • Avoid applying for fingerprints with mehendi/dust/oil on your fingers.
  • Make sure to have enough change of money when going to the Passport Office.
  • Keep a pen with you to fill out the National Bank’s Challan.
  • Have extra copies of your CNIC with you.
  • Try to reach the Passport Office as early as possible.
  • Go to the window of the District mentioned on your NIC to get a token.
  • Make sure to personally receive your passport from the Passport Office on the given date.
