Are you concerned about how many SIMs are registered under your name? In Pakistan, it's important to keep track of the number of SIMs issued against your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to ensure that they are not being used for fraudulent activities. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you find out the total number of SIMs issued to you.
Step 1: Type your CNIC number in your mobile phone
To find out the number of SIMs issued against your CNIC, type your CNIC number and send a message to 668. This message is free of cost, and you will receive an automated reply from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) containing the total number of SIMs registered against your CNIC.
Step 2: Check the PTA website
If you want to find out more information about the SIMs registered against your CNIC, you can also visit the PTA website. The PTA has an online portal that allows you to check the details of all the SIMs registered against your CNIC.
To access this portal, go to the PTA website and click on the "Online SIM Information System" link. Once you have clicked on this link, you will be asked to enter your CNIC number and a verification code. After entering this information, you will be able to see the details of all the SIMs registered against your CNIC.
It's important to note that in Pakistan, only a maximum of 5 voice SIMs and 3 data SIMs can be registered against one CNIC. If you find that there are more SIMs registered against your CNIC than the allowed limit, you should contact your mobile operator immediately to have them deactivated.
